Also a bit challenging to get the video and GPS data to sync properly, especially if you're combining several video clips. Both of which have specs beyond what Garmin recommends for their Virb Edit software. I did a comparison test on all the combinations you can check from the forum page.Playing around with my Virb Basic and trying to watch my ride videos and syncing with my GPS data from my Garmin 810 has been quite a disappointment due to the choppy video playback on both my macbook and my PC. Have you experimented with the dxva? that's gpu too but worth a shot.
GARMIN VIRB EDIT UPDATE FAILED DRIVERS
That being said if you use ffmpeg for decode and encode it's using all cpu so gpu drivers shouldn't even be an issue. and this happens with the same video files on another pc or mac? that's even more weird. Anyway as for you issue that is even more strange you can do each one seperate but when all together it kills it. I've worked in IT for like 14 years now so seen a lot. Sony Vegas was terrible on crashing while exporting.

I'm fairly new to virb edit but have used the adobe products for ages as they are bullet proof.
GARMIN VIRB EDIT UPDATE FAILED DRIVER
have you had a recent graphics driver update? I know in the past new drivers have killed my gpu rendering ability within adobe premiere pro. Hi Wombat, yeah that is definitely strange then.

GARMIN VIRB EDIT UPDATE FAILED SOFTWARE
I am running virb edit 4.2.2 and software 4.30 on the XE. It does suggest some problem with the original files- something that the encoder/decoders can not handle, but not detectable when watching the original mp4. Has anyone seen this error? Very frustrating. I have tried this with all different settings. Once finished and begin the export, it always fails around 60% done. I am able to import the clips to the software and do my edits. I have never had a problem with virb edit processing in the past.

I have two days of video on my XE that amount to six mp4 files, which all play just fine on multiple devices.
